Burst Crackers Safely
There are certain Do's & Don'ts to follow while purchasing, bursting and storing crackers. A little negligence can cause a fatal injury — please read carefully.
Do's — Play Safe
Follow these before you light up.
Buy fireworks only from reliable, licensed sellers.
An adult should always supervise the use of fireworks.
Strictly follow the safety instructions printed on each pack.
Use a long candle or agarbathi to ignite fireworks safely.
Keep buckets of water and sand ready to douse any fire.
Aerial fireworks should only be used in a safe open landing zone.
Don'ts — Avoid Accidents
Never do these while handling crackers.
Never ignite fireworks while holding them — put them down first.
Never put fireworks in any container to ignite.
Immediately abandon any malfunctioning fireworks.
Never ignite aerial fireworks near trees, wires, or leaves.
Never ignite aerial fireworks near a building opening.
Never use fireworks inside the house.
Use fireworks outdoors — but not on public roads.
Never experiment with or make your own fireworks.
Never re-light a dud — soak it in water for 15–20 minutes.
Do not use spurious or illegal fireworks.
As per Supreme Court order, no fireworks between 10 PM & 6 AM.
